Students who are members of the EFEQT programme are encouraged to attend at least one event during the year. To this end, we communicate information about events we are aware of and also encourage programme members to inform us of other events they would like to attend so that we can support them in this regard (e.g. financially).<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

EUROPEAN QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY SUMMER SCHOOL 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Paderborn, 11-19 July 2025<\/strong> Link to the event webpage<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong><\/a> The new edition has seen an increase in the number of participants and has relocated to Paderborn, Germany, a dynamic centre for research, technology, and innovation.
EQTSS still brings together committed students with experts from research, industry and start-ups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CESQ QUANTUM HACKATHON<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strasbourg, 6-7 March 2025<\/strong> Link to the event webpage<\/strong><\/a> As part of Quantum Week, the European Centre for Quantum Sciences (CESQ) hosted a 30-hour quantum hackathon organised by the institute’s PhD students in collaboration with QPerfect<\/a><\/strong>. The event was open to 25 participants from master’s and PhD programmes with knowledge of quantum technologies and programming. Divided into teams, participants used MIMIQ<\/strong>, one of the most powerful quantum computer emulators, to tackle quantum problems with practical industrial applications in the short term. A special prize was awarded to the winning team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QUANTUM IDEAS FACTORY 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jena, 21-23 February 2025 <\/strong> Link to the event webpage<\/strong><\/a> The\u00a0QIF 2025<\/strong>\u00a0turned Jena into a hotspot for young quantum enthusiasts. The three-day event brought together students and early-career researchers for an intensive\u00a0quantum programming hackathon<\/strong>, where they tackled real-world challenges in quantum science and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EUROPEAN QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY SUMMER SCHOOL 2024<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Strasbourg, 7-13 July 2024<\/strong> Link to Youtube videos<\/strong><\/a> The first European summer school on quantum science and technology was held in Strasbourg, coordinator of the EFEQT programme.
EQTSS brings together committed students with experts from research, industry and start-ups. For one week, everything revolves around research into quantum technologies, and participants immerse themselves in the fields of quantum computing, communication and sensor technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s on the agenda? – Lectures by international experts – Start-up speed networking – Intercultural exchange, networking and career inspiration<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EQTSS is organised as part of a trilateral agreement with partner institutions in France and the Netherlands and is supported by a strong cross-border network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUMMER SCHOOL : QUANTUM, FROM THE LAB TO NEW TECHNOLOGIES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Troyes, 29-31 May 2024.<\/strong>
EFEQT<\/a> network is organising a summer school that will take place at the University of Technology of Troyes in France from the 29th to the 31st May 2024.
<\/strong>This 3-day school will have lectures, industry sessions from “quantum” companies, lab tours and social events. The different platforms used for quantum technologies will be discussed and companies such as Pasqal, Quobly or SingleQuantum will be present.
The event is co-organised by the University of Technology of Troyes<\/a> and the University of Strasbourg<\/a> and sponsored by the european project DigiQ<\/a>, as well as the Graduate Schools NANO-PHOT<\/a> and QMAT<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPRING SCHOOL AND QUANTUM CARLA CAREERS SYMPOSIUM<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Spring School on Open-Source Tools for Quantum Science & Technology<\/a> hosted by ICFO from 18-21 March 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school will be followed by the annual Quantum CARLA Careers Symposium<\/a>, which will be held at La Pedrera<\/a> in Barcelona on Friday 22 March.<\/strong>The school is aimed at Masters students who are interested in familiarizing themselves with the use of these tools.\u202f
There are\u202flimited places<\/strong>\u202favailable, so we recommend early registration. They offer a few Travel Fellowships <\/strong>\u202ffor\u202fMasters Students\u202finterested in attending the school. Students enrolled in DigiQ may request travel support from their home university, if this is available.

The school is organized as part of the Master in Quantum Science and Technology Barcelona<\/a> in the scope of the DigiQ<\/a> (Digitally Enhanced Quantum Technology Master) project and sponsored by IBM Quantum.

EUROPEAN SUMMER SCHOOL IN QUANTUM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Karlsruhe, 17-22 September, 2023. Link to the event page<\/a>
<\/strong>The European Summer School in Quantum Science and Technology is jointly organized by the KIT Graduate School of Quantum Matter (KSQM<\/a>) for doctoral researchers in quantum science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT); QUSTEC<\/a>, an international doctoral training program of Universities in Switzerland, France and Germany; as well as EF<\/a>EQT<\/a>, an European training program for Master students supported by the Quantum Flagship initiative. The aim of the school is to offer an introduction to and an overview of cutting-edge research in quantum science with a focus on creating, controlling and manipulating quantum systems for quantum technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
