Study and experimentation of the distribution of quantum keys

Description: The Research & Technology Department of Thalès Alenia Space is in charge of defining the future satellites and space systems in the telecommunications, navigation and observation fields. In the photonics team in particular, we pave the way to data streams increase and security. Concerning the security part, Europe is highly investing in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) programs. This physically robust approach applied to the spatial domain will allow long range secured communications in a nearby future.

Prerequisite knowledge: We are looking for an end-of-studies intern with knowledge in quantum mechanics. The intern preferably has a prior experience in optics and in labarotary work.
Internship period and planned duration: 5 Months from January/February
