Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
Germany

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is positioned as the Research University in the Helmholtz Association. With some 9200 employees and 26000 students, the KIT is one of the largest scientific institutions in Europe. Through its research-oriented curricula, it prepares its students for assignments in society, economics and science. KIT is one of the German universities of excellence. Combining experiment and theory, the researchers at the Institute for Quantum Materials and Technologies (IQMT) at KIT seek to understand quantum phenomena in condensed matter and molecular systems, and to develop novel devices based on these effects that will serve as building blocks for future quantum technologies.
