Description: Disordered spin systems fail to relax to thermal equilibrium state due to emergent local conserved quantities. Rydberg quantum simulators allow to realize these systems experimentally. The goal of this project is to design and numerically benchmark experimental protocols that reveal smoking gun signatures of localization and allow us to study the transition between localized and delocalized regimes.

Prerequisite knowledge: Solid knowledge of quantum mechanics, Python or Julia programming skills, Optional: Basic knowledge of quantum many-body physics, quantum information theory
Internship period and planned duration: 3 months between February and October 2022
