Description: Design, construction, and analysis of a test system to optimize the shape and propagation of a dipole guide for ultracold atoms using meter-long Bessel beams. The task includes construction of an injection-locked diode laser with related electronics, (optional) the design of the test bed (using programs like Solidwork), laser beam imaging, and data analysis with python/matlab

Prerequisite knowledge: Enthusiasm and curiosity about research. Any previous experience with optics/electronics is welcome.
Internship period and planned duration:Flexible start (from April 2022), duration 4 – 6 months
